This benefit provides compensation if your pre-booked Public Transport departure is delayed at a single location for a specific minimum duration (as defined in your Insurance Policy).
To qualify for this benefit, the delay must be caused by unforeseeable circumstances beyond your control, and you must eventually continue with your scheduled trip.
The Insurer will pay allowance for every consecutive period of delayed up to the maximum limit of the selected plan, subject to the specific terms and conditions outlined in the policy.
Reschedule or cancellation of scheduled departures from Public Transport which informed earlier prior departure date or before check-in time is not considered delay under the term of this Policy.
If you fail to arrive at a transfer point in time to board your onward connecting flight because your previous aircraft was delayed (due to reasons defined in your Insurance Policy), the Insurer will provide benefits up to the maximum amount specified in your selected plan. This benefit applies if there is no alternative onward flight available to you within 6 (six) hours of your arrival at the transfer point.
A Connecting Flight is a flight that requires You to change from one plane or airline to another at transfer point in airport on way to Your destination area and must be shown in Your Travel Itinerary as connecting flight.
